OVERVIEW


The Global Talent Visa was introduced by the U.K Government in February 2020 to replace the Tier-1 Exceptional Talent Visa. This special visa is open for certain skill sets and it requires an endorsement from the bodies registered with the U.K Research and Innovation (UKRI). After completing the stay of 3 years on this visa, one can also file for residency and sponsor his or family and dependents. 


BASIC ELIGIBILITY


There are 3 distinct categories for the applicant to be endorsed;

  1. As a leader (exceptional talent)

  2. As an emerging leader (exceptional promise)

  3. Under the U.K Research and Innovation funder option. 


There are various endorsing bodies based on the area of expertise. These bodies will review the applications and provide endorsement to the applicant. There is a vast field covering almost all the areas of skills like, Engineering, Science & Medicine, Art & Culture, Digital Technology, Humanities, Architect, Fashion and, Film & Television.


The main task of the endorsing body is to assess your skills, abilities and achievements and advise the Home Office of U.K of their decision whether the applicant can be endorsed.


KEY BENEFITS


  1. You can work without a sponsor in U.K for up to 5 years

  2. Freedom of changing positions and organisations or you can be self-employed also.

  3. You can start your own company and even work as a consultant in your field.

  4. There is no cap on the number of applications.

  5. This visa does not specify any minimum salary threshold
