Prince Edward Island issued 195 ITA in a couple of draws in July.

The Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) held two rounds of invitations in July. On July 10, eight invitations were issued under Express Entry & Labor Impact categories and July 16 draw invited a total of 187 candidates out of which 29 were from Business Catagory and 158 under Express Entry & Labor Impact categories.

A slight deviation from the predetermined schedule of draws was observed this time due to the global pandemic issue. The next draw is scheduled for August 20. A brief about various categories under PEI PNP is given below.

EXPRESS ENTRY & LABOR IMPACT CATEGORIES

Both of these categories are for international applicants. Labor Impact is for the applicants having a valid job offer and support from the employer in PEI, whereas Express Entry is aligned with the Federal Govts. main Express Entry Program. Both the categories of applicants are required to create an EOI profile in order to be considered for the nomination. The highest-scoring candidates are then invited through monthly draws.

BUSINESS CATEGORY

The PEI PNP's Business Impact Work Permit Stream is for the investors and entrepreneurs who wish to own and operate a business in PEI. The applicants are required to create an EOI profile and with its own point grid system, the profiles are ranked. In the latest draw, a minimum of 117 points was required for the invite.
