The Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP) is a general English language proficiency test. It is slowly growing its popularity amongst the Indian applicants. There is only one center in Chandigarh and is alternate to IELTS. The CELPIP Tests are Canada's leading general English tests for immigration and professional designation.

You can now take a CELPIP in:

·        Canada (British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Yukon)

·        United States (Texas, California, Virginia)

One of the basic requirements to make entry into the Express Entry Pool is to have valid scores of your acceptable language proficiency tests. With the availability of dates of IELTS and CELPIP this hurdle can be overcome by the potential applicants and it is in their best interest to submit their profiles as early as possible.

You can get the provincial nomination which in turn will guarantee you the invite for making visa application. Since the middle of March, various provinces have held regular PNP draws and have issued provincial nominations to candidates outside of Canada.
